Terry Fox Update
We are excited to announce Blueshore Financial sponsored us and our Terry Fox Run increasing our donation by another $1000. Our school raised over $1125.45, and combined with Blueshore, we donated over $2000 to the Terry Fox Organization!
Thank you again for your donations!
We have lots of produce in our Garden that will be harvested soon in preparation for our annual Pit Cook (October 24th) and Harvest Soup (November 1st).
Truth and Reconciliation Month
This month is Truth and Reconciliation Month. On September 26th, at 9:15am, we will have our Orange Shirt Day as well as our Truth and Reconciliation Assembly held outside in front of the school around The Survivors’ Flag.
In advance of National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day on September 30, the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation offers free virtual educational programming for teachers and students grades 1-12, and invites the public to join online sessions from September 23 to September 27, 2024. Online sessions are aimed at an adult audience and can contribute to increasing knowledge about Indigenous history and worldviews. Simultaneous English-French and ASL interpretation will be provided. Please visit Lunch and Learns – Truth and Reconciliation Week for details and registration.
